Cosmetic Dentistry Services
As a cosmetic dentist, Marc A. Schwartz DDS, can complete smile makeovers and dental restorations in a way that looks and feels natural. Patients throughout the Belmont area visit our office to have their teeth straightened, stains removed, gaps closed, and damaged teeth restored.
We offer a wide variety of cosmetic solutions to transform smiles. This includes Dental Implants, Teeth Whitening, Dental Veneers, Dentures and more. In our dentist office, we create customized treatment plans to correct any dental concerns our patients have. We will use one or a combination of procedures in order to turn ordinary smiles into beautiful ones.
At Marc A. Schwartz DDS, the type of procedure that we recommend will be based on what is wrong with your teeth. For example, if your teeth are cracked, chipped, or damaged, we will likely use dental veneers or dental crowns in order to restore them. Both look completely natural and can also be used to cover dark stains and close gaps in between teeth. A dental veneer is a thin shell that sits on top of a natural tooth where a dental crown surrounds it like a cap. Crowns are ideal for teeth that are more severely damaged. As a CEREC dentist in Belmont we can complete these procedures in one day, versus several weeks.
In our dentist office, we also help patients throughout the 94002 area that have lost one or several teeth. We provide natural looking dentures that can be worn temporarily or for long periods of time. They have a secure fit and look natural. Those that are interested in a more permanent cosmetic dentistry procedure can benefit from dental implants. In this procedure, Dr. Schwartz implants a metal post under the gums and secures it to the jawbone. The metal and bone will fuse together to create a synthetic root system that is as durable as a natural one would be. Once healed a dental crown is secured to the metal post for a new and beautiful replacement tooth. Patients throughout Belmont, CA often prefer dental implants because they behave like a natural tooth and don't require any additional care. Those that are interested in a non-surgical procedure may benefit from a dental bridge. To learn more about our cosmetic dentistry procedures, call (650) 508-1668.
As an Invisalign® Dentist, Dr. Schwartz straightens teeth using clear aligners. This procedure can be more convenient than traditional metal braces because the aligners can be switched out at home, requiring fewer visits to the dentist office. The process works by wearing a clear aligner for two weeks then switching it out for the next one in the series. They slowly move teeth into position and once all of them have been worn; teeth are perfectly straight.
While undergoing treatment, our Belmont patients appreciate that they can take out their aligners to eat and brush their teeth. This way patients can continue to eat their favorite foods and even have a romantic dinner, without worrying about their orthodontics treatment. It also reduces the risk of teeth becoming stained while being straightened. If any stains do occur, we offer teeth whitening services in order to remove them.
As a CEREC Dentist in Belmont, Dr. Schwartz provides chairside restorations. Patients with damaged teeth can benefit from having their teeth restored in one day, instead of needing to schedule multiple appointments. Traditionally, a general dentist would examine a damaged tooth then take an impression that is sent to the lab for a dental crown to be created. The tooth would then be prepared and a temporary crown worn for around two weeks. Once the permanent crown was created, a patient would come back to the dentist to have it bonded to the tooth. This process has been expedited thanks to CEREC dentistry.
Dr. Schwartz, as a CEREC Dentist in Belmont, can complete that same process in one visit. Instead of taking two weeks, it can take a matter of hours. After the damaged tooth has been examined, digital images are created and uploaded into our software system. A diagram is then created so that our machine knows what the exact dimensions of the crown needs to be. It is then produced in our office while you wait. The tooth is still prepared like normal, but a temporary crown is unnecessary. This allows patients throughout the 94002 area to get back to their busy schedule without the need for a second appointment.
This process is also ideal for cosmetic dentistry when a patient wants to close gaps in their teeth or cover dark stains by using a natural looking dental crown. For more information or to schedule your appointment call (650) 508-1668.
